Beaches

Naples founders in the 19th Century boasted that this Gulf Coast town rivaled the bay of Naples, Italy. Residents of this are proud of the beautiful white powdery beaches and unmatched sunsets. The numerous beach entrances afford everyone in Naples the opportunity to experience some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Some of note are:

   Bay Colony Beaches

   Clam Pass Beach Park

Clam Pass is located near the famous Registry Hotel. Here, you’ll find beautiful boardwalks that follow along the beach, over five miles of kayak trails, and acre after acre of mangrove swamps. Hours: Daily 8am-sunset. Admission: Parking $3

   Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Recreation Area
239-597-6196 View Map
This park's mile-long stretch of white sugar sand has been rated as one of the best beaches in the nation. The beach is popular for sunbathing, swimming, beachcombing, snorkeling, and picnicking. Fishing at the beach along Wiggins Pass, where swimming is not allowed, is another popular activity. For saltwater or freshwater fishing, boaters can launch their vessels into Water Turkey Bay and travel to the Gulf or up the Cocohatchee River. Kayakers can enjoy paddling through estuaries; scuba divers can explore the hard bottom reef in the Gulf. At the north end of the island, a tower gives visitors a bird's-eye view of Wiggins Pass and the surrounding coastal habitat. Hours: Daily 8am-sunset, Admission: $5 for up to 8 people per car; single occupant vehicle entrance: $3

   Key Wadin

   Lowdermilk Park
239-434-4687 View Map

You'll find plenty of leisure activities here, including volleyball and water sports. This is known as one of Naples's best party spots. Hours: Daily sunrise-sunset, Admission: Free

Naples Municipal Beach and Fishing Pier

Located near the intersection of 12th Avenue South and Gulf Shore Boulevard, Naples Beach is a throwback to the city's early days as a resort town. The pier is still the center of the city for many, especially the area fishermen who like to cast off the 1,000-foot construct. Restroom facilities and a parking area are located here. Hours: 24/7, Admission: Free
